Perineometer- An equipment used for measuring the strength of voluntary contractions of pelvic floor muscles- A Review

چکیده
Pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) is an umbrella term used for disorders like, Urinary Incontinence, Organ Prolapse, Urgency etc. There are many evaluation and treatment tools available pelvic assessment. The purpose of this review was to know the effectiveness usage perineometer PFD in women, with focus on current clinical practice.
 Electronic databases searched- PubMed, Google scholar Cochrane
 Search Terms used- Perineometer, pressure manometer, muscle trainer, application
 Method Methodology- Inclusion criteria- Studies Perineometer as evaluation/treatment method any female population, Full text articles, case study, control cross sectional, RCTs paper published between 2000-2022.
 Exclusion Articles other than English.
 Conclusion- effective tool but it’s practice needs be enhanced better objectivity treatment.
